Credit Transfer & Recognition of Prior Learning
Credit Transfer (CT)
Credit Transfer recognises completed units of competency where they are identical or equivalent to units in your IOIS course.
Provide a Statement of Attainment, testamur and Record of Results, or an authenticated USI VET transcript.
IOIS verifies the evidence with the issuing RTO or through the USI transcript.
CT application fee: Free.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL is an assessment of skills and knowledge gained through work, training and life experience. An assessor reviews the evidence; credit is not automatic.
Make an enquiry and discuss the proposed units.
Complete the application and self-assessment.
Provide evidence such as a résumé, position descriptions, work samples, references or third-party reports.
An assessor reviews the portfolio and may arrange an interview or practical demonstration.
Receive the decision in writing.
RPL fee: $250 application fee plus $300 per unit assessed.
01Apply
Complete the CT/RPL application form.
02Submit evidence
Attach results or relevant work evidence.
03Assessment
IOIS verifies CT or assesses RPL evidence.
04Written decision
Receive the outcome and any fee or duration change.
Any credit granted may reduce course fees and duration. IOIS will provide written confirmation of changes to your training plan. For RPL, allow approximately 4–8 weeks following receipt of a complete application; actual timing depends on evidence and assessment requirements.
All students can request a flexible payment plan to pay their course fees in instalments.
This advertised fee applies to domestic students residing in Australia. Students studying online from overseas should contact admission@iois.edu.au to confirm applicable fees.
Fee arrangements and other relevant charges are provided before enrolment. Review the current Fees and Refunds Policy.
